TOP: Fostering ESL Students’ Overall Speaking Performance Using Topical-Based Oral Presentation

The ability to communicate verbally permits humans with one another. For students a variety of first languages, English is the languages increasing requirement. Developing speaking skills always viewed as difficult and time-consuming process that necessitates significant amount effort. This study aimed investigate use topical-based presentation (TOP) in enhancing ESL students’ performance overall. participants were 30 form four from secondary school. research design used present was action research. One pre-assessment post-assessment administered before after treatment. A set questionnaires 15 closed-ended Likert-scale items for data collection. questionnaire performed treatment learn how felt about tactics they improve their talents during course study. acquired analysed using paired sample t-test, which revealed substantial improvement students' between pre post assessment performance, t-value 18.137 p. value =.00001, 0.005. findings showed TOP helped overall English-speaking skills. also saw beneficial tool improving ability, according findings. pedagogical principles presented this are hoped assist educators effectively oral presentations language abilities, particularly speaking.
